Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, with the paid ad engine alongside it. This is the same playbook pointed at vegan jackfruit jerky: many creators, one hook library, losers killed early. I have not run a food brand, so the claims sheet and the food rules below are where I would lean on your team first.

Why now

  • 8

    Reviews on the page

The page shows eight reviews. A creator's video gives a new shopper a face and a first bite to judge by, before a ninth review exists.

    Published
  • $50

    Free shipping line

Free shipping on U.S. orders over $50 is already on the site. Two bags of Variety Pack cross it, and a creator can say so in one sentence.

    Published
  • $27.99

    Variety Pack price

The Variety Pack starts at $27.99 and holds all three flavors. It is the natural product for a taste-test video.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, target $1 (Proposed). The simulator starts at $5.74, so the first six weeks are about closing that gap, not about reach.

  2. One variable per test

Same bag, same setting, one change: the opening line or the flavor. Seven videos per creator per week give enough tests to see what moves views.

  3. Losers killed early

Weak hooks are cut after the first week of data. Winners go into the hook library for the next creator to use on Jack & Tom, Jack & Barb or Jack & Teri.

  4. One channel for the work

Briefs, claims questions and Monday reports live in one shared workspace with creators and your lead, so approvals take hours, not email chains.

One channel for everything

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. Brief botAppMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: show Jack & Barb, the sweet barbecue flavor, in the first three seconds. Seven videos, one variable per test. The claims sheet is pinned above.

  2. MayaTue 11:10 AM

A follower asks if the jerky is safe for her nut allergy. Can I tell her it's allergen-free?

Say only top 9 allergen-free, as the site writes it. For her own allergy, tell her to read the ingredient list on the product page.

  3. Report botAppMon 9:00 AM

Weekly report posted: videos per creator, views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target. Best hook: the poblano kick opener on Jack & Tom. Cut: the plain unboxing.

  4. JordanWed 2:15 PM

Draft back to you, Priya. The teriyaki take says it is healthier than meat jerky. Cut that line. Keep the ginger description and the first bite.

  5. PriyaThu 6:40 PM

The Jack & Tom bite video passed 100,000 views overnight. I'm posting two follow-ups with the same hook on a different flavor.

  6. Pay botAppFri 9:15 AM

Check done on the 100,000-view video: claims sheet ticked, category rule ticked, organic views only. The $50 flat bonus is cleared.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Poblano kick

    Brief 01

    Poblano kick

“Tomato and poblano in a jerky? Hear the first bite.”

Close on the Jack & Tom bag, tear it open, bite near the mic. One take, natural light, no music.

  2. Sweet barbecue

    Brief 02

    Sweet barbecue

“Sweet barbecue jerky, made from jackfruit. Watch it pull apart.”

Hold the Jack & Barb bag by a cookout plate, then pull a piece apart to show the texture. Vertical frame.

  3. Protein check

    Brief 03

    Protein check

“Up to 15 grams of protein per bag. Let me read it.”

Read the bag aloud, panning front to back. Say only the numbers on the claims sheet, nothing rounded up.

  4. Jackfruit 101

    Brief 04

    Jackfruit 101

“Jerky from a fruit? Here is how jackfruit gets there.”

Show a young jackfruit if you can find one, then cut to the bag. Name the main ingredients: jackfruit and pea protein.

  5. Ingredient read

    Brief 05

    Ingredient read

“Jackfruit and pea protein. Read the list with me.”

Lay out one bag and read its ingredient list slowly on camera. Finish by naming your favorite flavor.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Protein-packed vegan jerky made from jackfruit, crafted to be inclusive of different lifestyles and diets without compromise.”, “Jack & Friends® jerky is a good source of protein, meaning each serving contains at least 10% of your daily recommended intake of protein.”, “FREE shipping on all U.S. orders over $50!”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Plant-based food creators

Creators who already cook or snack plant-based. Jackfruit is a word their audience knows, and a jerky version is a new angle for them.

  • Snack review accounts

Creators who rate snacks on camera. The Variety Pack, three flavors in 2.2 oz bags, hands them a ranking video.

  • Allergen-aware home cooks

Creators who talk about dietary restrictions. They ask the hard questions on camera, which the claims sheet answers.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

No affiliate or ambassador page was found on the site, so there is no existing list to inherit. The roster starts from zero.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Audience fit

Followers who ask about food, snacks or diets, not only general lifestyle content.

  2. 2Product on camera

Past posts show eating or cooking on screen, with clear audio of the bite.

  3. 3Reads a claims sheet

Will quote the three sheet lines and nothing extra. A test brief decides this.

  4. 4Original hooks

Writes their own opening line instead of repeating a script.

  5. 5Clean food record

Past food posts show disclosure and no health-outcome promises.

Part 7 of 15

Who we pick

  • Plant-based cook

Already posts jackfruit recipes and can show the jerky as the snack version of the same fruit.

    Likely product: Jack&Barb

  • Gym bag snacker

Posts what is in the bag after training and cares about protein per serving.

    Likely product: Jack &Tom

  • Allergen-aware shopper

Talks about dietary restrictions and reads every ingredient list on camera.

    Likely product: Variety Pack

  • Desk snack reviewer

Rates office snacks on a simple scale and can cover three flavors in one video.

    Likely product: Variety Pack

  • Teriyaki fan

Cooks at home with ginger, lime and teriyaki and has opinions on marinades.

    Likely product: Jack&Teri

  • Barbecue lover

Posts grill and cookout content where a sweet barbecue flavor fits the plate.

    Likely product: Jack&Barb

Left off, every time

Always out: creators who promise health outcomes, who attack meat jerky or protein bars, or who give medical or allergy advice. Food rule: protein, fiber, sugar and allergens are said only in the brand's own wording, never stretched to every flavor.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Protein-packed vegan jerky made from jackfruit, crafted to be inclusive of different lifestyles and diets without compromise.”

    Opening line of any video

  • “Jack & Friends® jerky is a good source of protein, meaning each serving contains at least 10% of your daily recommended intake of protein.”

    Protein check videos

  • “vegan, top 9 allergen-free, and packed with up to 15 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber per bag with no added sugar”

Bag-reading videos, said exactly as written

  • “FREE shipping on all U.S. orders over $50!”

    Caption and closing line

  • “Want to try all three of our delicious vegan jerky flavors?”

    Variety Pack taste-test hook

  • “Blends sweet and savory notes traditional of teriyaki with a touch of ginger to add a bright and warm finish as an interesting twist to a classic.”

    Jack&Teri flavor description

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Allergen-free for everyone

The brand says top 9 allergen-free. Nothing covers other allergies or personal advice.

  • Sugar-free

The site says no added sugar, and two flavors list date syrup.

  • 15 grams of protein in every flavor

The site says up to 15 grams per bag. Only Jack & Tom lists 15g per bag.

  • Healthier than meat jerky

A comparison the brand does not make and a creator cannot back.

  • Helps you lose weight

A health outcome. The brand makes no such claim.

  • Better than a protein bar

A comparison. Creators describe the jerky, they do not rank it against other products.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Gluten-free

A product photo caption says gluten-free, but the site copy I read does not. Ask the brand before anyone says it.

  • Free shipping on all orders over $50

One line says all orders, another says U.S. orders. Creators say U.S. until confirmed.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

For new creators with a small audience: lower base, a clear cap, room to move up after the first month.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

For creators with steady food or snack content who deliver seven videos a week without chasing.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

For proven hook writers whose Jack & Friends videos beat the $1 cost per 1,000 views target.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month: $50 flat the first time a video passes 100,000 views.
  • The bonus is per video, never on an average, so one breakout is paid once.
  • Organic views only. Paid boosts of the same video do not count toward the bonus.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule, however far it travels.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

The starting inputs give $5.74 per 1,000 views against the $1 target. To close the gap, 4.2% of videos must go viral or the median video must reach 21,711 views. Those inputs are Assumptions.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

    Two creators a week

The roster goes from 0 to 10 creators live: two a week for six weeks. The claims sheet and hook library go first, so the first two creators set the pattern.

  2. Month one

    Test the opening line

Starter and Standard bands, seven videos a week each. Test the opening line first, flavor second. Cut the weakest hooks after the first week.

  3. Month two

    Promote the winners

Creators who beat the target move to the Premium band. Repeat the best hook on Jack & Tom, Jack & Barb and Jack & Teri. Send the first 100,000-view video into the paid steps.

  4. Month three

    Full roster

Ten creators, 303 videos a month. Check cost per 1,000 views against $1. Replace the bottom creators, keep the formats that win.

  5. Day ninety

    Review

Where does cost per 1,000 views sit against $1, and which formats and creators earned a renewal? You decide whether to extend, resize or stop.

  6. Monthly ceiling

    $15,000 at the top cap

All ten creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded: $15,000. Proposed. It is a limit, not a plan; most creators will sit below it.

The roster grows by two creators a week, so hook performance can be read week over week instead of by anecdote.

Part 14 of 15

Organic to paid

From organic to paid

  1. Post organic first

Every video starts on the creator's own account. No paid spend until a hook has proven itself.

  2. Pick the winners

A video with strong views and a clean claims check goes on a short list for the Jack & Friends team.

  3. Get usage rights

Before any paid use, the creator agrees in writing, and pay for paid use is settled first.

  4. Send to paid

The video runs as a test in your ad account: one variable per test, losers killed early.

From the video to the checkout

  • Variety Pack page: three flavors in 2.2 oz bags, from $27.99, with a discount on the 12 pack.
  • Single-flavor pages for Jack &Tom, Jack&Barb or Jack&Teri when the video shows one flavor.
  • Say free shipping on U.S. orders over $50 in the caption and the first comment.
  • End on the cart: the site asks shoppers to add a favorite friend, so close on the creator's pick.
  • No retailer links: no store list was found on the site, so every video points to the online store.

Part 15 of 15

Food rules

Food rules for vegan jackfruit jerky

This is food, so wording matters more than reach. Creators say what Jack & Friends says about protein, fiber, sugar and allergens, and nothing past it.

  • Protein and fiber

Quote the site's numbers: up to 15 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber per bag. Say up to, never every flavor.

  • Sugar

Say no added sugar, the site's wording. Never sugar-free: two of the three flavors list date syrup.

  • Allergens

Say top 9 allergen-free as the brand writes it. No allergy advice and no promise for any one person.

  • Health outcomes

No weight, energy, gut or disease claims. If a viewer asks a health question, point to the ingredient list and stop there.

  • Comparisons

No attacks on meat jerky or protein bars. Say what this jerky is: jackfruit and pea protein, in three flavors.

  • Disclosure and pay

Mark every paid post as an ad with the platform's tool. The $50 bonus and the pay bands are never mentioned on camera.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
